Minister of Health Fahd Al-Jalajel will patronize the closing ceremony of the Wa’ai (Awareness) Award’s sixth edition tomorrow.
This initiative is part of the ministry’s efforts to empower individuals interested in spreading health awareness in the Arab world, prioritizing prevention over treatment.
The award symbolizes the Kingdom’s leadership and proficiency in advancing healthcare prevention and enhancing public consciousness, which makes it rank high on a global scale, and gives recognition to international endeavors in health education.
The initiative aims to enhance health awareness among citizens and residents. The fact that it is in its sixth edition underscores the ministry’s commitment to nurturing and motivating individuals and organizations invested in health education in the Arab world.
With a total prize pool exceeding SAR1 million, the sixth edition of the Wa’ai Award includes categories such as Short Film, Motion Graphics, Infographics, Advertising Photography, and the Audience Award,
which recognizes the most popular contributions as voted by the public.
The award ceremony will also honor governmental entities dedicated to promoting health awareness locally and globally.
The Wa’ai Award attracts wide participation from the Kingdom and the wider Arab world, 56% and 44% respectively.
Past editions honored over 300 health champions working to enhance prevention and raise awareness to safeguard the health and well-being of community members.
