Moderate to Heavy Rain Expected in Several Regions of Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Moderate to heavy rain, leading to flash floods and accompanied by hail and dust-stirring winds, is expected in Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Qassim, Hail, and Northern Borders regions. Light to moderate rain is anticipated in Jazan and Riyadh regions, as well as the northern parts of the Eastern Region. Fog may also form in these areas.

According to Saudi Press Agency, winds over the Red Sea will vary in direction. In the northern and central parts, winds will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 15-35 km/h, while in the southern part, they will be southeasterly to southerly at speeds of 10-50 km/h. Wave heights may range from one meter to over two meters, rendering the sea choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 14-36 km/h. Waves are expected to reach from half a meter to one and a half meters, creating relatively calm sea conditions.
