MWL Secretary-General Launches Landmark Quranic Initiatives

Makkah: Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa inaugurated a series of pioneering Quranic initiatives at the MWL's headquarters in Makkah. These initiatives include the launch of the First Coordination Forum for Global Quranic Digital Maqari', the digital portal for the global electronic Maqra'a, and the establishment of the League of Global Quranic Digital Maqari'.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the inauguration took place during a celebration attended by leading scholars and practitioners of Quranic recitation and teaching alongside representatives from 50 global, tech-enabled Quranic centers, highlighting advanced efforts in remote education.

Al-Issa stated that these initiatives align with the Muslim World League's mission to strengthen the unity of the Islamic nation, emphasizing that their foremost goal is the service of the Holy Quran.

The forum issued several key recommendations, notably the establishment of an international technical Quran recitation association, a global body affiliated with the MWL dedicated to overseeing technical aspects of Quranic recitation.

Participants expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Kingdom for its unwavering support, care, and sponsorship of the Holy Quran. They also commended the MWL for recognizing its pivotal role in coordinating global efforts in Quranic recitation and teaching.
