MWL Welcomes Doha Summit’s Stand Against Israeli Aggression

Doha: The Muslim World League (MWL) has welcomed the final resolution by the Arab-Islamic emergency summit in Doha, which addressed Israel's attack on Qatar. In a statement, MWL Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa praised the summit's message of solidarity and unity, described the aggression against Qatar as an attack on all Arab and Islamic nations, and noted the summit's clear rejection of any attempts to justify it.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Issa emphasized that the summit holds the Israeli government responsible for undermining peace in the region through its aggressive policies and crimes of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and expansionism. He condemned the attack on Qatari territory as a dangerous escalation that undermines diplomatic efforts for a ceasefire.

He also praised the statement for rejecting the Israeli government's use of Islamophobia to legitimize its violations of international law. Al-Issa valued the summit's support for the UN General Assembly's adoption of the New York Declaration, which calls for a two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

He commended the efforts of both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic in this regard and called for international efforts to ensure broad recognition of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
