NAUSS, Romanian Republican Guard Review Ways to Protect Vital Facilities

The activities of the scientific seminar on ways and methods of protecting vital facilities, organized by the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS), in cooperation with the Romanian Republican Guard, began today and will continue until August 10, in Bucharest, Romania, with the participation of specialists from 6 Arab countries, namely: Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Djibouti, Morocco, Mauritania.

NAUSS’ Vice President for External Relations, Khalid bin Abdulaziz Alharfash, stated at the opening of the scientific seminar that the NAUSS aspires to the success of the work of the scientific seminar in order to achieve common aspirations towards protecting important and vital facilities, and to develop the capabilities of Arab cadres working in this field, noting that the seminar is held within the framework of cooperation between the NAUSS and the Romanian Republican Guard, in accordance with the memorandum of understanding signed in 2021, expressing his thanks to the guard command for the good organization.

In turn, the Director of the Republican Guard, Major General Lucien Pahonto, thanked the NAUSS for its interest and trust in the capabilities and expertise available to the Republican Guard and the Romanian security authorities, calling for the continuation of holding joint scientific activities annually in all security fields. He also stressed the importance of using modern technologies to confront the developments that are developed to target sites.
