Jeddah: The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) concluded the second edition of its cybersecurity training program for university students at a graduation ceremony held at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). The program, which aims to prepare future cybersecurity professionals, was attended by Jeddah Governor Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, along with officials from both the public and private sectors.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the eight-month program was implemented by NCA in partnership with KAUST and the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE). It trained more than 4,200 undergraduate students across various universities in the Kingdom through specialized courses, workshops, practical cybersecurity exercises, and intensive training programs at KAUST and Duke University in the US.
This initiative is part of the second phase of the NCA's CyberIC cybersecurity development program, focusing on nine key areas, including network security, cloud computing security, incident response, and ethical hacking. The program represents a strategic effort to develop human capital and bolster the Kingdom's cybersecurity capabilities in line with its national vision.
