Aden: A new phase of the medical volunteer program has commenced at Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital in Aden Governorate. The initiative is specifically targeting pediatric heart surgery and is being conducted by experienced medical professionals from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The program is supported and implemented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in collaboration with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), with active participation from Saudi medical personnel. The hospital was selected for its advanced medical capabilities and high state of readiness.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the medical volunteer program encompasses a range of specialized medical projects, including open-heart surgery, cardiac catheterization, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery for burns and deformities, urology surgery, and a specialized clinics project. The overarching aim of the initiative is to address humanitarian needs across all Yemeni governorates.
