Abuja: Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu received today Muslim World League (MWL) Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa in Abuja. The meeting focused on fostering social peace in West Africa and reinforcing collaborative efforts between Nigeria and the MWL.
According to Saudi Press Agency, President Tinubu commended the MWL's initiative aimed at promoting social peace across the West African region. He affirmed his full support for the Abuja Declaration, along with its action plan, implementation programs, and the coordinating body established for cooperation.
Al-Issa expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu for his patronage of the league's initiative conference in Abuja. The conference was attended by numerous religious leaders representing communities from across West Africa, which underlines the importance of unity and cooperation among religious groups in the region.
