The Nineveh Antiquities and Heritage Inspectorate has begun rebuilding the historic Adad Gate and the ancient Nineveh Wall, after it was out of service due to erosion factors.
The director of the Nineveh Antiquities Inspectorate, Khair al-Din Ahmed, told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /, “The engineering teams and the excavation teams in the Nineveh Antiquities and Heritage Inspectorate began with the reconstruction of the Nineveh wall, which is located east of Mosul.”
Ahmed added, “The work team was able to reconstruct the part that is also located in front of the ancient Adad Gate, to be a station for visitors because of its distinguished location behind the ceremonial platform north of Mosul.”/ End
