NSHR Engages in Global Dialogue on AI and Human Rights

Doha: The National Society for Human Rights (NSHR) participated in the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights, held in Doha under the theme "Opportunities, Risks, and Visions for a Better Future."

According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference was organized by the Qatari National Human Rights Committee in collaboration with the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions, the UN Development Programme, and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. It aimed to explore the growing impact of artificial intelligence as both an enabler of development and a source of human rights challenges.

The event convened representatives from governments, civil society, academia, and the private sector to discuss the implications of AI for human rights. This gathering provided a platform for diverse stakeholders to share insights and strategies for addressing the dual role of AI in society.
