Jeddah: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will convene an emergency meeting of its Open-Ended Executive Committee at the level of foreign ministers. The meeting will address recent actions by the Israeli occupation, including settlement expansion, annexation, and attempts to assert sovereignty over the occupied West Bank. It is scheduled for Thursday, February 26, at the OIC headquarters in Jeddah.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the session aims to coordinate positions among member states and explore measures to confront these actions. Discussions will focus on the recent decision to initiate land settlement procedures in the occupied West Bank under the pretext of 'state land.' The OIC said these steps form part of ongoing efforts to alter the legal, political, and demographic status of the Palestinian territories and undermine prospects for a two-state solution.
