Riyadh: The Ministry of Health announced that over 5,000 healthcare volunteers participated during the Hajj season, contributing to efforts aimed at enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided to pilgrims.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this initiative is part of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program, which are integral components of Saudi Vision 2030. These programs aim to increase volunteer participation and strengthen their role in serving pilgrims.
The ministry detailed that the volunteers supported healthcare services for pilgrims across three main areas: preventive, curative, and support services. Their contributions were significant at various holy sites, including Makkah, Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah. Additionally, volunteers actively participated in hospitals and healthcare centers, ensuring comprehensive medical support during the religious event.
