Several participants in the 44th King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation of the Quran visited the Makkah Clock Tower Museum, located at the highest point in the city of Makkah. The visit is part of the cultural programs organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawa and Guidance. The current edition of the competition brought together 174 contestants from 123 countries. Participants expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for their efforts in serving Islam and Muslims, and for their care and interest in printing, publishing, teaching and honoring the Holy Quran, and those who memorize it. They also commended Saudi Arabia's endeavour to expand the Grand Mosque and serve its visitors, pilgrims, Umrah performers and worshipers. The contestants said that the great interest that the leadership of this country shows in everything that serves Is lam and Muslims is deep-rooted, as the Kingdom is the cradle and centre of the Prophet's message.
