Riyadh: The first half of November provided a powerful demonstration of Saudi Arabia’s success in positioning itself as the world’s preeminent hub for investment, innovation, and global partnership. The conclusion of three major international forums-FII9, the inaugural TOURISE summit, and Biban-unleashed a torrent of capital aimed at accelerating the Kingdom’s economic transformation.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Biban Forum 2025 concluded with SAR38 billion in agreements, attracting over 100,000 visitors and significant international interest, including nearly 50 startups from Korea. This influx of capital is directly fueling the Kingdom’s strategic industrial and technological goals. The General Authority for Military Industries announced that the localization of military spending has risen to 24.89%, a significant step toward the Vision 2030 goal of 50%. In the energy sector, Aramco announced strong Q3 2025 results with a $28.0 billion adjusted net income and revised its 2030 sales gas production target upward to 80% growth over 2021 levels.
The Kingdom also moved to set new global standards, with the World Bank issuing a report praising the Education and Training Evaluation Commission’s transformative impact on education quality, citing major gains in international test scores. In a move reflecting its agricultural strength, Saudi Arabia successfully spearheaded the adoption of the first-ever global standard for fresh dates at the UN’s Codex Alimentarius Commission in Rome.
The period by numbers highlights key achievements: a $113 billion investment value was stimulated on the first day of the inaugural TOURISE Summit in Riyadh, aimed at transforming the global tourism sector. The FII9 conference saw $50 billion in deals signed, contributing to over $250 billion in cumulative deals since its inception. A groundbreaking trial of the 7 GHz frequency band for 6G in the MENA region was conducted by the Communications, Space and Technology Commission.
Other notable figures include 65.9 million passengers crossing Saudi land borders during 2024, with King Fahd Causeway accounting for nearly half. The “Nusuk” app for Hajj and Umrah has reached 40 million global users. Saudi Arabia Railways transported 7.5 million tons of minerals and goods during Q3 2025. Saudia introduced a 300 Mbps internet speed on its first fully connected flight, a service soon to be free for all passengers.
Furthermore, KSrelief sent 71 relief aircraft to Gaza, part of a major humanitarian campaign that includes eight ships and over $90.35 million in aid agreements. AlUla won three major accolades at the 2025 World Travel Awards, including “Middle East’s Leading Cultural Tourism Project.” Saudi Arabia also secured 22 medals at the conclusion of the Asian Youth Games in Manama.
These figures illustrate a clear, multi-pronged national strategy. From securing massive investments at all levels-global, sectoral, and SME-to achieving greater industrial self-sufficiency, pioneering next-generation technology, and gaining international acclaim for its cultural and tourism offerings, the data from early November reflects the tangible and accelerating momentum of Saudi Vision 2030.
