Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud Acknowledges Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts’ Role in Hajj

Makkah: His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, convened with Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Mudarris, Vice President of the Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association and General Supervisor of Public Service Camps in Makkah and Madinah, along with several Boy Scout leaders and Girl Scouts participating in this year's Hajj. During the session held at the Ministry's headquarters in Makkah, Prince Abdulaziz expressed his appreciation for the Boy Scouts' contributions during the Hajj mission, acknowledging their vital role in assisting the pilgrims and collaborating with relevant authorities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Mudarris highlighted the key activities undertaken by the Boy Scouts during Hajj, including guiding lost pilgrims and collaborating with security forces to manage crowds in the Grand Mosque. The association has mobilized over 5,000 male and female participants to facilitate these efforts. Additionally, the association has produced over one million copies of paper and electronic maps and guides for the holy sites, distributed to pilgrims to aid them in locating service points and accommodations.

The meeting was also attended by His Highness Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Acting Deputy Minister of Interior, and His Excellency Assistant Minister of Interior Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Falih.
