Qassim Plants 183,000 Trees in First Half of 2026

Qassim: The Qassim branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture planted 183,000 trees during the first half of 2026, advancing regional efforts to expand vegetation cover and preserve natural resources.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the afforestation initiative was driven by robust community engagement, mobilizing 15,043 volunteers and collaborating with 27 public and private entities. Supported by the activation of 36 regional nurseries, the branch's environmental awareness campaigns reached nearly 28,000 students across 103 schools and seven technical colleges, directly advancing the sustainability targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
