Riyadh, Quality of Life Program, which is part of the Saudi Vision 2030, CEO Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Bakr said that the announcement of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, concerning the launch of the Esports World Cup and the establishment of the Esports World Cup Foundation is a result of the big growth witnessed by the esports and games sector in the Kingdom, and will help achieve the targets of the Saudi Vision 2030.

He stressed the importance of the electronic games and sports sector to improving the quality of life of the Kingdom's population, supporting and empowering young people of both genders interested in the field, entrepreneurship and start-ups, and to contributing to creativity and innovation.

Al-Bakr also mentioned the growth of the sector globally and the targets of the Saudi Vision 2030, part of which is to make the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia the top global hub for electronic sports and games.
