Riyadh:The Ministry of Culture is set to inaugurate the Quarter Tone exhibition at Fenaa Alawwal Center next Wednesday, with the event running until November 7. The exhibition aims to offer a unique sensory experience by exploring the intersection of music and visual art.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Quarter Tone exhibition is an artistic project by Naseer Shamma. The exhibition creatively uses sawdust and wood remnants from oud making to create visual artworks that resonate with sound, maqam, and rhythm.
Visitors can expect a diverse cultural and artistic program, including discussion sessions with artists and researchers. These sessions will delve into the relationship between sound and place, memory, and identity. The exhibition will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. throughout the week, and from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Fridays.
