The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) is participating in the Saudi Travel Expo in China, following the signing of an agreement between the Saudi Ministry of Culture and the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The exhibition, held at Tiantan Park, Beijing, until October 26, displays some antiquities and presents an overview of AlUla’s cultural and natural heritage, contributing to strengthening the cultural relationship between the Kingdom and China.
AlUla is one of the Kingdom’s leading tourist destinations; there is increasing demand from Chinese tourists to visit this destination.
International tourists to AlUla recorded a 44% increase in 2023.
The Saudi Travel Expo is a prominent platform to showcase the diverse cultural and heritage destinations that AlUla offers to tourists from China.
Photographs and videos are shown at the exhibition, highlighting the cultural richness of AlUla, as well as historical sites.
AlUla and Diriyah are home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Hegra (Mada’in Sal
eh) archaeological site and At-Turaif District, which contributed to the formation of civilizations.
