Caretaker Information Minister, Melhem Riachy, asked "colleague Charles Ayyoub to apologize from readers before doing so from Saudi Arabia and Lebanon," declaring that he contacted the Attorney General at the Court of Cassation, Samir Hammoud, to take the necessary measures.
While confirming the importance of defending the right to freedom of expression "even in the case of differences of opinion," Minister Riachy underlined that there is a big difference between freedom of expression and insult.
