Riyadh Council Evaluates Progress on Infrastructure Initiatives

Riyadh:The Infrastructure Projects Coordination Council convened for its fourth meeting, led by Eng. Fahad Al Badah, CEO of the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center. The meeting included representatives from government entities, service providers, contractors, laboratories, and consulting offices involved in the infrastructure sector.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting began with a speech from the CEO and a review of tasks from the previous meeting, followed by an overview of the council's dashboard used to monitor sector developments and priority issues.

Key topics discussed included development initiatives such as connecting telecommunications towers and the specific requirements for contractors involved in infrastructure projects. The council also reviewed provisions aimed at regulating operations and enhancing execution quality.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the role of the service for printing as-built plans in supporting the sector and the latest updates on the infrastructure award, which seeks to promote excellence and high-quality practices in infrastructure projects.

The council emphasized the need for ongoing coordination and integration among all entities and stakeholders. It highlighted the importance of monitoring the implementation of initiatives and outcomes to boost operational efficiency, improve execution quality, and advance the infrastructure system in the Riyadh Region.
