Rural Tourism in Taif: Investments Grow amid the Mountains

Riyadh: Rural tourism in Taif Governorate has emerged as one of the most promising investment avenues, benefiting from the governorate's natural assets and the continued growth of resorts, rural lodges, and agritourism farms. These developments have helped diversify the tourism offering, create new economic opportunities, and promote sustainable development in mountainous areas.

According to Saudi Press Agency, tourism investments are spread across the highlands of Al-Shafa and Al-Hada, as well as valleys and farms. They capitalize on the mild climate, vegetation, and mountain views to offer accommodation experiences that blend nature, privacy, and local identity, amid growing demand for rural tourism as one of the fastest-growing tourism segments.

Taif Chamber Chairman Ghazi Al-Qathami told the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that rural tourism in Taif has developed in recent years into a promising economic sector, driven by growing visitor demand for resorts and lodges that draw on the natural environment.

Al-Qathami said several factors distinguish rural tourism in Taif, including its Taif rose, grape, pomegranate, and fig farms, as well as traditional harvesting and farming experiences, horseback riding, and nature walks.
