The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the air defense systems shot down 3 Ukrainian drones in the sky of Kaluga province at dawn today, Wednesday.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement: “At approximately 5.00 (am), local time, an attempt by the Kiev regime to launch a terrorist attack using three drones on targets in the Kaluga region was thwarted.”

The statement added that the Russian air defense systems detected all the drones in a timely manner and destroyed them, without the accident resulting in any damage or injuries.

In recent days, Russian forces have downed a number of Ukrainian drones in Belgorod, Kaluga and Kursk provinces.
