Riyadh: The skies over Northern Borders Region: showcased a captivating celestial display yesterday evening as the crescent moon of Safar (second month of the Hijri calendar) aligned with Regulus, one of the brightest stars in the Leo constellation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Adnan Al-Ramdaoun, a member of the Astronomy and Space Club, explained that this astronomical phenomenon occurs when the moon passes near a prominent star in the night sky. He noted that the conjunction of the crescent moon with Regulus offers an excellent opportunity for observation and photography, particularly in areas with clear skies and minimal light pollution.
