Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) Governor Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Qasabi received Socialist Republic of Vietnam Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat.

The meeting aimed to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields of standardization, quality infrastructure, and conformity assessment.

During the meeting, a technical cooperation program was signed between SASO and the Vietnam Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality (STAMEQ) that aims to enhance collaboration and expertise exchange in areas such as standards, conformity assessment, testing and calibration, and the halal sector, as well as sharing date, experiences, training activities, and capacity building.

The cooperation reaffirms the common ties between the two countries and strengthens integration in product quality and consumer safety, while also removing technical barriers to trade. It aligns with technological advancements and digital transformation, enhancing the quality infrastructure in both coun
tries.
