Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has expressed strong condemnation over the targeting of three United Nations World Food Program (WFP) trucks in Sudan, emphasizing its firm rejection of any actions that compromise the safety of civilians and humanitarian workers.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement urging all parties in Sudan to abide by the Jeddah Declaration's terms. Signed on May 11, 2023, the declaration commits to safeguarding civilians and securing relief and humanitarian aid corridors. The ministry highlighted the crucial need to prioritize the welfare of the Sudanese population and to protect them from the severe consequences of ongoing war and internal conflict.
