Kuwait city: Saudi Arabia participated in the 31st Meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Committee for Undersecretaries of Post and Telecommunications. The Saudi delegation was led by Deputy Minister for International Cooperation and Partnerships, Eng. Mansour Saleh Al-Qurashi.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting commenced with a speech from the chair, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications of Kuwait, Eng. Meshaal Jaber Al-Zaid. Kuwait currently holds the presidency of the session. The discussions centered on enhancing joint cooperation in the fields of post and telecommunications. The participants also reviewed the GCC telecommunications work plan in preparation for the upcoming Ministerial Meeting of Post and Telecommunications scheduled for October.
The committee addressed topics related to modern technologies and artificial intelligence and reviewed the implementation of decisions from the previous session. The meetings concluded with member states reaching consensus on several recommendations and decisions aimed at developing the telecommunications sector and strengthening its role in benefiting the countries and peoples of the region.
