Saudi Arabia Sees Significant Increase in Foreign Direct Investment in 2025

Manila:Foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows into Saudi Arabia reached SAR159 billion in 2025, marking a 33.5% increase from 2024. Concurrently, the FDI stock rose by 8.3% to SAR1.059 trillion.

According to Saudi Press Agency, these figures highlight the substantial growth in foreign direct investment in Saudi Arabia over recent years. In 2025, FDI inflows were five times their level in 2017, while the FDI stock doubled during the same period.

From 2017 to 2025, the compound annual growth rate for FDI inflows was 24%, and for FDI stock, it was 10%. This consistent growth underscores the Kingdom's expanding foreign investment and FDI stock.

The increase in FDI reflects Saudi Arabia's growing attractiveness to foreign investors and a rising confidence in its economic prospects. This trend is supported by the economic and structural reforms initiated since the launch of Saudi Vision 2030.

The results emphasize Saudi Arabia's progress in establishing itself as a key investment destination, aligning with Vision 2030's objectives to diversify the economy and boost foreign direct investment. The Kingdom continues to enhance its investment climate, bolster domestic investment, and attract high-quality foreign investments.
