Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), highlighted its experience in leveraging AI to achieve sustainable development during a dialogue session organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), held on the sidelines of the 22nd session of the High-Level Committee on South-South Cooperation at the UN Headquarters in New York.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi delegation, led by the Ministry of Economy and Planning and comprising representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the Saudi Fund for Development, participated in the session.

SDAIA emphasized the Kingdom’s efforts in developing a regulatory framework for AI and outlined the national initiatives it is leading to foster innovation in this critical field. These endeavors are aligned with international standards while safeguarding data privacy and digital sovereignty.
