Saudi Arabia Takes Part in SCO Prosecutors General Meeting in Russia

Kazan:Saudi Arabia participated in the 24th Meeting of the Prosecutors General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Member States. Dr. Khalid Al-Yousef, the Attorney General and Chairman of the Public Prosecution Council, represented the Kingdom at the event, which included representatives from 20 countries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing international cooperation to protect minors, tackle illegal content and cybercrimes, and share expertise and best practices among the member states.

During his address, Dr. Al-Yousef emphasized Saudi Arabia's commitment to building a safe society and protecting families and youth as part of Saudi Vision 2030. He detailed the efforts of the Public Prosecution in safeguarding minors from cybercrimes through specialized family affairs prosecutions and collaborating with relevant authorities to uphold children's rights and fight against harmful digital content.

He underscored the importance of strengthening international cooperation and adapting to technological advancements to address new criminal patterns that threaten minors.
