Riyadh: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's welcoming of the signing by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Afghanistan of an immediate ceasefire agreement, and the establishment of mechanisms aimed at consolidating lasting peace and stability between the two countries, during the negotiations held in Doha.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom affirms its support for all regional and international efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability, and its constant commitment to ensuring security in a manner that achieves stability and prosperity for the brotherly peoples of Pakistan and Afghanistan. It also looks forward to this positive step contributing to ending border tensions between the two countries.

The ministry also commended the diplomatic efforts and the constructive role played by the State of Qatar and the Republic of Trkiye in this regard.
