Manama:Saudi Arabia's delegation, led by Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail, attended the 24th meeting of the Committee of Ministers Responsible for Housing Affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting, which took place in Manama, focused on several key issues aimed at enhancing the housing sector and promoting joint Gulf action. This included discussions on exchanging expertise and developing housing policies among GCC states, as well as implementing the Unified Rules for Joint Property Owners approved by the GCC Supreme Council.
Saudi Arabia committed to preparing guidelines for sustainability standards in housing projects, supporting the exchange of practices and expertise in housing sustainability across the Gulf. On the sidelines, Minister Al-Hogail participated in a dialogue session on national housing's future, emphasizing innovative policies and sustainable solutions.
The minister underscored the importance of strengthening integration within the GCC's housing sector and utilizing Gulf expertise. He advocated for moving beyond merely exchanging expertise to greater policy integration, which would develop housing and financing solutions tailored to the needs of GCC citizens.
