The Center for Research and Knowledge Intercommunication, in collaboration with the China Intercontinental Press, released a Chinese translation of the Saudi book "Stories and Folk Legends from the Madinah Region: Badr and Wadi Al-Safra" by Mufrej Faraj Al-Sayed. The book was translated by Professor Wang Yuyong and Professor Li Nan, as part of the center's project "Saudi-Chinese Publishing Project for Classical and Modern Works." The book includes stories and historical tales narrated about the historic site of Badr and its surroundings. It is one of the prominent works that encompass myths and folk tales from the Madinah region. The late author Mufrej Faraj Al-Sayed emerged as a poet and Saudi literary figure from the pioneering generation, having published his first poetry in Al-Manhal magazine in 1383 AH. Saudi works related to folk legends are gaining popularity in Chinese cultural circles, highlighting the importance of such books in deepening communication with intellectuals and enthusiasts in Chin a, as well as the contribution of these cultural works in meeting their needs for understanding other cultures.
