The Social Development Bank has inaugurated the 2nd Saudi-Emirati Exhibition in Riyadh with participation of 30 productive families from the two countries currently being held on December 15-20, in the presence of Minister of Community Development in the United Arab Emirates, Hessa Essa Buhumaid, and the CEO of the Bank, Ibrahim bin Hamad Al-Rashed.

The exhibition comes in its second edition after the first joint exhibition held in Dubai last October with a great success.

Al-Rashed stressed that the maturity of the products of families in the two countries gave them the opportunity to become commercial projects that can be marketed outside the borders, just as Saudi families participated in the Emirates and today Emirati families participate in Riyadh, indicating that the expansion of the program to support productive families enabled 150,000 Saudi families to enter the labor market with financing amounting to two billion riyals, and trained and qualified more than 50,000 families in all cities of the Kingdom. He noted that the bank provides productive families with a presence in the most important sites throughout the year and on all national occasions to sell their products and ensure the sustainability and growth of their projects.

For her part, Minister Buhumaid stressed that the importance of such exhibitions is to ensure the financial sustainability of the various micro-enterprises, and the growth of their contribution to the national economy of the two countries, noting that the support provided for productive families by the governments of the two countries came as a result of cooperation and planning a year ago, and today we are witnessing its fruit extending from the owner of the project to reach all members of the family and society.
