Cairo: The Saudi Film Commission, one of the 11 sector-specific commissions under the Saudi Ministry of Culture, is participating in the 46th Cairo International Film Festival, which is being held from November 12 to 21. As one of the region’s most prestigious and longstanding film festivals, the Cairo International Film Festival gathers leading filmmakers, creators, and industry professionals from around the world. The commission’s participation reflects its ongoing efforts to expand Saudi Arabia’s presence on regional and international film stages and to highlight the dynamic development underway within the Saudi film sector.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this year’s participation includes an official delegation from the Saudi Film Commission, aiming to deepen collaboration with Arab and international film institutions, unlock opportunities for co-production and partnership, and highlight national efforts to develop the film sector and showcase its creative initiatives.
The commission plans to showcase the Kingdom’s diverse filming landscapes and production infrastructure, inviting global partners to explore the unique opportunities within Saudi Arabia’s film sector. Its presence will further highlight programs and initiatives that empower filmmakers-from funding and training programs to talent development-as part of ongoing efforts to build a thriving film production ecosystem aligned with international standards.
