Saudi Green Building Forum Engages at Copenhagen Climate Conference

Copenhagen: The Saudi Green Building Forum (SGBF), represented by its Secretary-General and representative to the United Nations Eng. Faisal Al-Fadl, participated in the Sixth Global Climate and SDG Synergy Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the SGBF's involvement included a specialized session with experts from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Municipality of Copenhagen, University of Sussex, and Arup Group. During this session, Al-Fadl emphasized Saudi Arabia's leading role in developing and implementing technological and institutional solutions to aid coastal cities in adapting to climate change, particularly addressing the environmental challenges along the Red Sea coast.

The session provided an international platform to highlight the Kingdom's efforts in integrating climate adaptation with sustainable urban development. It also encouraged the exchange of knowledge with global partners to create locally relevant solutions, bolstering international commitment to the Paris Agreement's implementation and the achievement of the 2030 Agenda.
