Doha– The Saudi national team will play the Mexican team tomorrow at 10:00 p.m. at Lusail Stadium in the third and final round of Group C, which also includes Argentina and Poland which will play their match at the same time. The Saudi team hopes to advance to the round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The Saudi team began its World Cup campaign with a historic 2-1 victory over Argentina, earning important three points before losing to Poland 2-0, moving it into third place in the group on the strength of Argentina’s goal differential, while Poland leads with four points and Mexico is in fourth place with one point after drawing with Poland and losing to Argentina in the second round by a score of 2-0.

In order to replicate its success from its debut at the 1994 US FIFA World Cup, the Saudi team needs to defeat Mexico to ensure qualification to the round of 16. If Argentina draws with Poland, it will rank first in the group; if Poland wins, goal difference will be used to determine first place if Argentina defeats Poland after both teams have accrued six points each.

A draw will be enough for the Saudi squad to qualify for the round of 16 if Argentina loses against Poland, who will be first with seven points, allowing the Saudi team to qualify second with four points.
