Riyadh: The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) has launched the fourth edition of the Active Program, running in two phases from November 2025 to March 2026 across five cities in the Kingdom. The initiative aims to engage communities in physical activities and foster an inclusive environment through sports.
According to Saudi Press Agency, The first phase of the program kicked off in Al-Uqair, Al-Ahsa, as part of the Ramliyah Festival. This festival is the Kingdom's first family beach sports festival and successfully attracted over 12,000 visitors. It featured competitions among more than 50 amateur teams in sports such as beach volleyball, handball, and football, with prize money exceeding SAR200,000.
The Active Program is designed to promote a vibrant and inclusive society by encouraging participation in beach sports, specifically targeting the youth aged 6-18. In addition to sports, the program offers entertainment areas, yoga and Zumba sessions, and special initiatives to support individuals with disabilities, ensuring a wide range of activities for all community members.
President of SFA, Prince Khaled bin Al-Waleed bin Talal, emphasized the program's significance in promoting physical activity among the youth. He highlighted that the initiative aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to create a healthy and active society. Prince Khaled also noted that this edition of the program continues to expand across the Kingdom, providing diverse sporting opportunities for its citizens.
