Riyadh: The Theater and Performing Arts Commission is set to participate in Avignon’s 79th Theatre Festival in France, taking place from July 14 to 22, 2025. This year’s festival places a special spotlight on the Arabic language and its cultural heritage.

According to Saudi Press Agency, as part of its participation, the Commission will present four traditional performing arts: Al-Khatwa, Al-Khubayti, Al-Liwa, and Ardha Wadi Al-Dawasir, alongside a theatrical performance titled Tawq. The performances aim to showcase the richness of Saudi heritage, promote contemporary Saudi theater, and foster cultural dialogue with international audiences.
