Al-Mahra– Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen (SDRPY) is sponsoring the celebration of the Week of Persons with Disabilities with the Association for Rehabilitation of the Physically Disabled in Al-Mahra Governorate, Yemen, which coincides with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, to contribute to reducing the challenges of disability and their social inclusion.

The Director General of the Office of Social Affairs and Labor in Al-Mahra said that the allocation of a day by the United Nations for the disabled underscores the keenness of the international community in caring for this segment of society, expressing his appreciation of holding this celebration, which reflects the generous support provided by SDRPY.

People with disabilities benefit from the development projects and initiatives presented by SDRPY in the health sector, which amounted to 25 projects and development initiatives, as the program has provided support for 17 medical centers by supplying them with medical equipment, and contributed to raising the efficiency of performance and quality of services to people with disabilities and various groups of Yemeni society.
