Riyadh: Riyadh is hosting a series of digital and entertainment events organized by Japanese gaming giant SEGA this August as part of this year's Esports World Cup. The largest global event of its kind, the World Cup is currently being hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with wide participation from top-tier players and teams worldwide.
According to Saudi Press Agency, SEGA has announced showcase matches for some of its newest titles, including the Sonic racing game CrossWorlds and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O, scheduled to take place on August 5 and 13 at the Gaming Hall in Boulevard City. The events are expected to draw large crowds of gaming enthusiasts of all ages from across Saudi Arabia and abroad.
In addition to competitive showmatches, SEGA has launched a unique interactive experience at Jameel Motorsports Park, running through August 24.
