Vienna: Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Chief Executive Officer Sultan Al-Marshad met with Islamic Republic of Mauritania President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani on the sidelines of the meeting of heads of Arab Coordination Group funds and institutions in Vienna. During the meeting, the two officials discussed development projects in Mauritania funded by the SFD.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Marshad also held other meetings on the sidelines of the OPEC Fund Development Forum. He met with Republic of Azerbaijan Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov to discuss enhancing development cooperation and explore funding opportunities in key sectors in Azerbaijan. Additionally, he engaged with Burkina Faso's Minister of Economy, Finance and Foresight Dr. Aboubakar Nacanabo to review development projects backed by the SFD in Burkina Faso and discuss further strengthening of development cooperation.
Furthermore, Deputy CEO of SFD Eng. Faisal bin Mohammed Al-Kahtani participated in a panel session titled 'Digital Acceleration for Growth and Inclusion' as part of the forum's agenda. During the session, he focused on the fund's development efforts, which aim to provide sustainable solutions to challenges facing developing countries and promote collaborative efforts for future growth and prosperity.
