SFDA, Saudi Patient Safety Center Sign MoU to Share Knowledge, Foster Innovation

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and the Saudi Patient Safety Center (SPSC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today on the sidelines of the Global Health Exhibition 2024 in Riyadh, being held from October 21 to 23. The MoU aims to foster cooperation and facilitate the exchange of experiences and knowledge. SFDA Chief Executive Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey signed the MoU alongside SPSC Director-General Dr. Ali bin Tala Asiri. The areas of cooperation outlined in the MoU include exchanging data on safety events related to medicines and medical devices, developing and distributing educational materials to raise awareness, and sharing knowledge through training and education programs focused on quality and patient safety. The MoU covers collaboration in research, scientific expertise, and consulting. It includes the implementation of awareness campaigns, the provision of scientific opinions, innovation and research, and the application of emerging technologies.
