Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh praised concerted efforts during the annual commemoration of Ashoora, which reinforces religious liberties in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He praised the royal care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and unwavering commitment to safeguarding beliefs and sects which have long marked the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the the crossroads of cultures and civilisations and long standing beacon of interfaith respect and religious liberties.

He commended the efforts of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in delivering services and providing all needs during the rituals.

Al Saleh commended the efforts of the Ministry of Interior, led by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, highlighting the played by all directorates and departments.

In a statement today, he noted the role of the Jaffari Endowments to follow up on the needs of community centres (maatams) and Husseinyas during the Ashoora commemoration.

He also commended heads of maatams and Husseinyas for their cooperation and coordination with competent authorities, which reflected community partnership and spirit of responsibility.
