Madinah: The shuttle transport service to the Prophet's Mosque and Quba Mosque has successfully completed 13,300 round trips during the first 10 days of Ramadan. This service has catered to more than 500,000 passengers, including both local residents and visitors.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the shuttle service is under the supervision of the Madinah Development Authority and is part of the Madinah Bus Project. It operates several routes that connect key areas in Madinah to the Prophet's Mosque. Notable stops include the Haramain High-Speed Railway Station and others, with Al-Aaliyah Station providing direct access to the Quba Mosque.
The initiative is designed to reduce traffic congestion in Madinah's city center by improving public transport services, particularly during Ramadan. The service offers electronic ticket purchasing and payment options to enhance convenience for passengers.
