Sudanese Resident Arrested for Soil Pollution in Eastern Region

Jakarta:Eastern Region The Special Forces for Environmental Security have apprehended a Sudanese resident accused of polluting the environment by dumping concrete materials in the Eastern Region. Legal actions have been initiated against the individual, and he has been referred to the appropriate authorities for further proceedings.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the authorities emphasized that any activities causing direct or indirect damage or pollution to the soil, which adversely affects its usability or natural properties, can result in a fine of up to SAR10 million.

The forces have called on the public to report any environmental or wildlife violations. Residents in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern regions can report such incidents by calling 911, while those in other areas of the Kingdom can use the numbers 999 and 996. All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality, ensuring that those reporting are not held liable.
