Riyadh:The National Cybersecurity Authority's "Tahqaq" service has introduced "File Scanning" and "QR Code Scanning" features. These additions complement the existing "Link Scanning" feature, allowing users to verify the reliability of files and QR codes before use.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the new features aim to address evolving cyber risks that may result in unauthorized data access, thereby enhancing cybersecurity for all segments of society.

This initiative coincides with Cybersecurity Awareness Month and responds to the increasing use of files and QR codes in daily life. It emphasizes the importance of adopting safe, proactive practices in handling digital information.

The Tahqaq service is part of Haseen, the National Portal for Cybersecurity Services, offered by the NCA in collaboration with its technology partner, Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE). This service is designed to help individuals bolster their cybersecurity and mitigate emerging cyber threats.
