Medina:The second day of the Sixth International Multi-Conference on Artificial Intelligence Technology (MCAIT 2026), hosted by Taibah University in collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, highlighted significant advancements in artificial intelligence through four keynote lectures, parallel research sessions, and a specialized workshop. The event focused on AI applications in healthcare, the Arabic language, intelligent systems, and advanced technologies.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the keynote lectures explored the future of AI in understanding the Arabic language, the development of safe and fair AI models through international collaborations, the historical evolution of AI distinguishing between specialized and general AI, and the challenges of evaluating language models, particularly their understanding of local dialects and social contexts.
The conference featured a specialized workshop on the development of natural language processing applications using Transformer models. Research sessions presented applied studies, including a cardiac arrhythmia classification model with 98.32% accuracy, an intelligent framework for monitoring older adults' activities, and models for early detection of lung tissues and malaria using deep learning, achieving accuracies of 98.38% and 99.12%, respectively.
In the realm of Arabic language research, one study analyzed 22,000 classified texts to identify linguistic indicators of depression, achieving 95.85% accuracy. Other studies focused on AI assistive technologies for the visually impaired by combining computer vision and language models.
The conference also covered AI applications in search and rescue operations using drones, smart agriculture, water resource management, digital network protection, and malware detection. Researchers presented models to enhance irrigation efficiency, agricultural production, and cyber threat monitoring, showcasing the diverse applications of AI in solving practical challenges and developing technological solutions.
