Taibah University Innovates with US Patent in Satellite and Radar Technology

Riyadh:Taibah University Researchers at Taibah University have successfully registered a US patent for an advanced technology in satellite engineering and radar systems. This development enhances the processing and synchronization of high-frequency signals, improving the efficiency of modern radar and communications systems.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the patented technology is capable of detecting phase differences and allows for direct signal synchronization at frequencies of 77 GHz and above, eliminating the need for frequency dividers. This innovation leads to a reduction in circuit size and power consumption, while also lowering latency, phase noise, and signal jitter, thereby enhancing system stability and accuracy.

The technology's applications are significant, with key uses in automotive radar and communications systems, synthetic aperture radar satellites, sixth-generation (6G) networks, and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna systems.
