The detachments of the Controls and External Roads Department, in cooperation with the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control Department in Wasit Police, were able to arrest a suspect of foreign nationality in his possession of narcotics in the checkpoint of Al-Maleh, west of the province.

A source in Wasit Police told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the accused was seized with 4 bags containing 200 grams of narcotic opium, and he was referred to the competent court.
